The Goonies 2, released by Konami for the NES in 1987, is an action adventure game with those memorable characters from the successful 80’s movie, the Goonies. Basically, it’s an action/platform type game with some first-person elements tied into it as well.
Object of the game: Help Mikey rescue his 6 Goonie friends (Mouth, Chunk, Data, Andy, Stef, and Brand) in order to save a mermaid named Annie. Of course that won’t be easy with many obstacles, enemies, and the sinister Fratelli family around every corner. Luckily, Mikey will collect several weapons and items to help him along the way on his journey through the Fratelli’s hideout and surrounding areas.
Great gameplay, definitely challenging (especially the 1st person parts), and a catchy soundtrack makes for an exciting adventure game. Are you up to the challenge?
