MEGA Week Ends With a Bang With Mega Man 6!

As all good things come to a close, so does MEGA Week.  And to end the week in style, I will talk a little bit about Mega Man 6, the final NES Mega Man title before the series migrates to the Super Nintendo (SNES) with Mega Man 7.  MM6 was released in 1994 by Capcom.  Mega Man must battle the evil Mr. X, who has released 8 new robot masters to cause mindless violence and mayhem (take a good hard look at Mr. X and you’ll see he isn’t who he says he is…Lol).  The Blue Bomber’s newest sidekick, Beat, returns to help him out along with Rush, but in a new way.  Rush now transforms into 2 unique armor upgrades for Mega Man (Power and Jet).  With these new upgrades, Mega Man can now punch through tough blocks and temporarily take to the sky with a jetpack.  You also get introduced to the energy balancer, which will automatically recharge the weapon with the lowest energy when you pick up a weapon replenishing item (someone very familiar will give you this item, if you can find the secret room its hidden in).

All in all, this game was a little redundant, but enjoyable to play nonetheless.  Great music and decent challenge factor.  A definite must to play if you are a Mega fan!
